Air China plans to add 100 Airbus S.A.S. to its fleet

Air China ltd., the biggest airline in Asia, plans to add 100 Airbus airplanes to its fleet by 2015.

The board approved yesterday the expansion of the Company and its subsidiaries, on the statement there were no details of type of Airbus they are planning to buy.  The deal is worth U$S 9.20 billion

The Beijing-based carrier said in a statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange that its board Tuesday approved a plan to buy the Airbus aircraft, as well as retire six Airbus 340 jets. It didn’t disclose further details.
